An SUV that is Bigger and Electric with Family Space
The Tomahawk EV has a length of 4,745mm while having a wheelbase of 2,810mm, making it a car with an ample amount of space. MG comes up with two variants of the vehicle, which include both five and seven seats, where the seven-seater model is meant for customers who seek a three-row electric SUV.
The car has a clean design with rectangular headlights and also LED lights while it has a closed grille design and powered tailgate.
Range Of 517km With 69.2kWh Battery
MG Hector Tomahawk EV runs on a 69.2kWh battery pack along with a front-wheel-drive system running an electric motor of 204hp/310Nm. The company claims a range of 517km in MIDC and can charge the battery to 80 percent using a 90kW DC charger in 35 minutes.
Moreover, the vehicle has features of V2L & V2H connectivity that let the battery charge outside devices as well as at home (with additional accessories).
The Cabin Is Teeming With Tech
For starters, the Tomahawk EV comes with a huge 15.6-inch touch screen along with an 8.8-inch driver’s digital display. The higher trims come with additional amenities like ventilation of the front seats, a panoramic roof, wireless charging capability, and 10-speaker Infinity audio. Level 2 ADAS and a 360-degree camera are also on offer.
The seven-seater cabin is especially appealing for family use with the second row having a lot of legroom while the third row is good enough to seat adults. However, using all three rows might impact the middle row’s space.
What is the Price of the Tomahawk EV?
The base price range varies from ₹19.50 lakh to ₹23.50 lakh. With the help of the Battery-as-a-Service program of MG, the cost of the vehicle is reduced to ₹13.99 lakh, while the cost of battery per kilometer is ₹4.90.
Our Viewpoint
What sets apart the Hector Tomahawk EV from the pack is its combination of three-row utility along with decent range for an electric SUV in India.
The 517km figure from the MIDC, combined with the sizable interior and abundant tech features, makes it an ideal choice for the family. However, while it does not offer fast-charging options like others, this isn’t really the priority here.
