The Vision S from Mahindra is a vehicle that is going to be introduced as a small SUV that is less than four meters long. This car has been created with a straight design along with the latest technology. The version that will be made for sale is expected to be available in the market, in the year 2027.
A Compact Scorpio-Like Design
The design of Vision S looks like a SUV that feels like a strong roadster. Vision S has a grille with slats, L-shaped lights, a big hood and big wheel arches. Vision S also has a size spare wheel, in the tailgate which adds a rugged look.
Other notable highlights include flush door handles, a panoramic roof, ORVMs, and vertical LED tail lamps.
Mahindra Cabin Brings Some Familiar Mahindra Features
Earlier sightings have offered some clues regarding the cabin design. The Vision S will feature a 10.25-inch infotainment screen in the center while keeping most of the dashboard design cues from the concept. The SUV features traditional heating/cooling controls and electronic parking brakes. It will feature a steering wheel design similar to that used in Mahindra's BE 6 and XEV 9e.
Some other features to expect in the Vision S include smartphone compatibility, ventilated front seats, climate control, rear air vents, wireless charging, and a digital instrument cluster.
Several Different Engine Options Might Be Available
The biggest buzz point is that of the Vision S's versatile NU_IQ platform. The car will most likely come with options for a petrol and diesel engines; however, there might be some hybrids and all-electric vehicles on the market as well.
Nevertheless, the final choice of the engine, the battery size, as well as other parameters have not been announced officially yet.
Will Vision S Come Out?
Vision S is likely to launch in the year 2027. The current indicative price is rumored to come out to be approximately ₹10.50 lakh, but the final pricing is yet to be confirmed variant-wise.
What We Think
The Vision S could bring a distinct offering for Mahindra in the compact SUV category through blending the brand’s tough SUV design philosophy with a more urban-friendly body style. With its boxy dimensions, technology-packed cabin and available range of engines, this car could be much more flexible than your average small SUV.
At present, however, the most crucial information still isn’t known, including the final engine offerings, variant and price range. But with test mules of production-ready versions already undergoing testing, it’s clear that the Vision S is getting ready for production.
